Lynne Aoyama opened House of Bread, a unique
micro-bakery featuring over twenty-five premium breads in July 2001.
The bakery is located in the Country Club Marketplace at 2005
East 2700 South.
Lynne was born and raised in Salt Lake City with a passion for
competitive sports and a love of bread.
She chose House of Bread because House
of Bread operates on the old school principles that a business
is part of the community. Each House of Bread franchise
chooses a cause to support; Lynne chose to support education
in Salt Lake City. The Salt Lake City bakery
is the first House of Bread in Utah; House
of Bread is a franchise based in San Luis Obispo, CA. If
you would like to learn more about House of Bread franchising,
visit www.houseofbread.com.
In addition to featuring over twenty-five premium breads,
the bakery serves a tempting assortment of cinnamon rolls, muffins,
and scones... all made from scratch each and every day. The
bakery
also
offers a healthy selection of soup, salads, and sandwiches made
with premium quality meats served on fresh baked breads available
anytime of the day. Fresh ground coffees are also available.
The bakery features a wheat mill visible in the customer
area where they stone grind their flour daily. Visit the House
of Bread Monday through Friday 7:00am to 6:00 pm, Saturday
8:00am to 5:00 pm and Sunday 8:00am to 2:00pm. Treat yourself
to the experience of watching bakers engage in the age-old trade
of kneading each loaf by hand while you enjoy free samples of
their work.
